E-Procurement refers to the electronic processing of procurement processes through IT-supported systems. It includes the digital transmission of requirement notifications, request for proposals, orders and invoices as well as electronic communication with suppliers. The implementation of E-Procurement systems standardizes processes, increases transparency throughout the entire lifecycle and reduces manual processing steps in procurement.
