Ereignis (EN)

Definition

An event in an event-driven process chain marks the beginning or a state change in the process. It is graphically represented as a rectangle and symbolizes a point in time when something happens in the process. Events are triggers for subsequent functions in the process flow and form the connection points between different activities. They are a fundamental element of EPK modeling.
