ConceptStatistical values that describe the central tendency of a data collection
Definition
Measures of central tendency are statistical values that quantify the central tendency or mean of a data collection. They enable you to determine a representative value for a set of data and thus obtain an initial overview of the distribution. The most important measures of central tendency include the mean (arithmetic average), the median (middle value in ordered data), and the mode (most frequent value).
