p-Wert (EN)
ConceptProbability of obtaining observed data under the assumption of the null hypothesis
p-Wert
The p-value indicates the probability of obtaining the results observed in a study (or more extreme results) if the null hypothesis were true. It is a central concept in statistical inference and serves as a measure of the strength of statistical evidence against the null hypothesis. A small p-value (typically smaller than the chosen significance level of 0.05) suggests that the observed data are unlikely if the null hypothesis is true, and thus speaks in favor of rejecting the null hypothesis.
