Funktion (EN)

Definition

A function in an event-driven process chain represents an activity or work step in the process. It is graphically represented as an ellipse and describes the executing units in the process. Functions transform inputs into outputs and are the actual processing steps in the business process. They are triggered by events and can in turn generate new events.
